Paris-Gare-du-Nord 18.11.2006
SNCF: in 1999, five locomotives of the BB 16500 series (numbers 16515, 16549, 16550, 16575 and 16592) formed as many compositions known as "dromedaries", in which the locomotive was placed between two reversible RIO sets (Rame Inox Omnibus), for the regional TER Picardie service between Paris and Beauvais. The reason for put them into "sandwitch" was the protests of the drivers at the discomfort of the driving cabs of these locomotives. The five sets were in service until 2007. Here we see the locomotive (5)16592 at the Nord station in Paris.
