Oberweißbacher Berg- und Schwarzatalbahn (DB group): in the Thüringer Schiefergebirge mountains, there are a very singular railway line, which it was commissioned in 1923. The line has two sections: the first, 1,351 km long, is a funicular, that saves an altitude difference of 323 m by a line with a gauge of 1,800 mm and an almost constant declivity of 25%. The second section is a line of standard gauge railway with a length of 2,635 km.
The funicular has two different cars: a conventional passengers car and another that is a platform that allows the loading of rail vehicles, with capacity to load up to 27 T. At the lower station there is two tracks, using the passengers car the left and the loading platform the right. This track on the right ends on a turntable, linked to the network of DB, which allows loading and unloading of railway vehicles.
Here we see the plaform-car, with the passengers car wich normally service is provided, reaching the upper station.
