2012 London Olympic Games: Ticket Prices Infographic
Infographic demonstrating Ticket prices for the 2012 London Olympic Games: a show that could cost from free up to £72.5 per second to view! (100 metres (Athletics) final (men) top-priced tickets).
On the top left side of the infographic a comparison is made between the cost (per viewed second) of the following 2012 London Olympic Games sessions: marathon race, football - men's final match and the 100 metres (Athletics) final race (men). For a spectator it will cost nothing to watch the marathon race, 3.5 pence per second for the football match and a staggering 72.5 pounds for each second of the 100-metre race.
On the top right side there is a depiction of the number of the tickets to be provided; there are 8.8 million in total. 25% of them will go to stakeholders, sponsors, national & international athletic committees. The rest 75% (6.6 million tickets) will be sold to the public from March 2011. 10% of them will cost more than £100 each.
Finally on the bottom part of the infographic there is a chart showing various ticket prices: from £0 (free) to £2,012 for the best seats at the Opening Ceremony of the Games.
