Structural damage

By the door to the garage. This kind of decay was our biggest obstacle. The plasterboard had been damaged by water and dirt-daubers, a wasp-like insect that converts glue and plaster into nesting material. To cover such craters in the walls, we would use joint compound to build a new, textured surface.
