Sheep Pasture, Cromford and High Peak Railway

The first I every heard of the Cromford and High Peak Railway was when I was travelling on a train on the old Midland main line in 1964 and a rail enthusiast pointed to the top of a hill and asked if we could see a signal. Sure enough we could and after talking to him we made out first visit that week. Here is that signal on April 13 1967 at Sheep Pasture, where you could usually find a Class 0F -0-4-0ST at work. (This will be in my book The Cromford and High Peak Railway in Colour to be published in 2017.)
