Stop to admire - Guapuruvu flowering tree

She is in full bloom again, and it is impossible not to stop here to admire its beauty.

There is even a bus stop (A375) under the tree for you :-) (Paddington suburb of Brisbane)

Have to say, it is unusual shape for Guapuruvu, as usual it is tall and straight, as on the photo below.

Guapuruvu (Portuguese common name) is a magnificent, fast growing ornamental tall tree from tropical forests zones of the American Atlantic coast.

Botanical name: Schizolobium parahyba

Fabaceae / Caesalpiniaceae family

(There is Parahyba River in Brazil)

Other common names: Brazilian fern tree, Tower tree, Guapiruvu, Ficheira, Guanacaxtle

It is deciduous. Flowers come first early spring, then fern-like leaves,
