Regional JET Grant Presentation Hosted by Lamar State College

In June 2025, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) presented four JET grants, totaling $794,546.00 to four grant recipients, including Lamar State College – Orange Campus, Lamar State College – Port Arthur Campus, Vidor Independent School District (in partnership with Lamar State College Orange) and Warren Independent School District (in partnership with Lamar State College Orange). In the first year of the grants, the funding will help train 266 students in high demand occupations in Healthcare, Heavy Tractor Trailers Drivers, and Welding.
