Regional JET Grant Presentation hosted by Alvin Community College

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) presented fourteen grants, totaling $5,106,669.00 to ten grant recipients, including the Alvin Community College, Brazosport College, Dickinson ISD (in partnership with San Jacinto College and College of the Mainland), East Chambers ISD (in partnership with Lamar Institute of Technology), Hempstead ISD (in partnership with Blinn College Main), Santa Fe ISD (in partnership with College of the Mainland), Galveston ISD (in partnership with Galveston College), Alief ISD (in partnership with Houston Community College), Katy ISD (in partnership with Houston Community College), and Palacios ISD (in partnership with Wharton County Junior College). In the first year of the grants, the funding will help train 3,838 students in high demand occupations in Chemical Plant Operation, Security Analysts, Healthcare, Carpentry, HVAC, Industrial Mechanic, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, Automotive Services and Welding.
