Regional JET Grant Presentation hosted by Texas Southmost College

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) presented eleven grants, totaling $5,293,029.00 to seven grant recipients, including Texas Southmost College, La Feria ISD (in partnership with Texas State Technical College), Jubilee Academies, Harlingen CISD (in partnership with Texas State Technical College), San Benito ISD (in partnership with Texas State Technical College) Point Isabel ISD (in partnership with Texas Southmost College), and Rio Hondo ISD (in partnership with Texas State Technical College). In the first year of the grants, the funding will help train 1,073 students in high demand occupations in Healthcare, Electronic Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Construction Management, Automotive Services, Culinary Arts, Public Relations, and Welding.
