May Modella Savage was the seventh child of Ritchard Savage and Missouri (Pendergrass) Savage. She was born 13 Jan 1890 in Coal City, AL and died 18 Oct 1968 in St. Clair Co. AL. She married Ernest Clifton Black (son of Joseph Egbert Black and Mittie Ann Crump) 6 Oct 1912. Ernest and May were buried in Harkey’s Chapel Cemetery, Coal City, AL.
