Frozen river
We spent the last days of 2016 and the beginning of the new year in the north of Slovakia, where we hiked and skied for 2 days. There was 50 cm of snow and the weather was really cold so it was ideal for winter sports. New Year's Eve was quite unusual though: as we reserved the room at the last moment, we really had no choice and it turned out that the restaurant of the hotel would be closed for the public that night. We had to persuade the owner to prepare us some pizzas so that we could eat them in our room :) Then we drank all our champagne and watched the fireworks from the street. No party this time!
