Mary Jemison Statue: Letchworth State Park, New York (NY)

Mary Jemison was a 15-year old Irish immigrant whose family was murdered by the Shawnee. She was sold to the Senecas and chose to stay with them for the rest of her life, becoming known as "The White Woman of the Genesee". This sculpture of her is on a bluff overlooking the museum and the Glen Iris Inn.
