Aurora Borealis TimeLaps in Kongsberg

This TimeLaps tock about 8+ hours to shot, and some more time to put togeter. It consist of about 1100 shots.

 

I am satisfyed with the Aurora, as I finaly found a good spot to stand, and that the Aurora was realy powerfull and colorfull this night.

 

I am a happy man now. Now I will keep searching for more Aurora and other chalanges.

 

 

If you wonder how you take TimeLaps like this then I will try to explain it here:

 

- Camera: Nikon D90

- Lens Sigma 10-20mm, Tamron 95mm Macro, Nikon 18-105mm

- Tripod: BENRO A650F, HD3 head

- Timelaps controll: Giga T Pro II from Håhnel

- ISO 3200 (to get short locking time and colors)

- Opening 2,8 - 4,0

- Locker Set on Manual

- Tome between pictures 5-13s

- Number of shots: 1100+ shots.

- Time used: 8+ hours

- Temperature: -1 C

- Time: 20:00-23:15 and 19:30-00:30

- Pictures per frame: 18

- Edited all pictures in Lightroom 4.0 Beta (Have just ordered the releesed vertion now)

- Gathered the movie with Quick Time Pro

- Added text and sound with Windows Live Movie Maker
