Astounded!

Zenit 11 + Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 + Kodak Gold VR Plus 400.

That's how I felt when I saw this...

I had read the settings on the Zenit all wrong. Having carefully light metered and then done nothing about it, except ineffectually move the front about a bit. I didn't realise that I'd been so rubbish until clarifying things with knautia at the end of the film. (Twas she who kindly loaned me the gorgeous old Russian monster in the first place.)

I was convinced the whole film was a write off and particularly irked that the stained glass windows in this beautiful little church might not have come out. In the end they did, and pretty conventionally compared to this one which is my absolute favourite from the whole day there....

Film is very forgiving - the lesson I am learning... and loving... :)

[Should I crop the left to center this a bit more do you think? Keeping my hands from any post-processing of my film shots except leveling of horizons (which doesn't count here...) seems to be taking a lot of self control......] I did!! :)
