TechSoup highlights the computer refurbishing work of 'Brave Gals' in Mexico
TechSoup Global has been a leader in international computer recycling since our GreenTech director Jim Lynch co-founded the International Computer Refurbisher Summit in 2002. After delivering the keynote address at this year’s Summit in Phoenix last week, Jim joined a delegation to tour a cross-border model of what Jim calls humanitarian refurbishment -- environmentally safe and economically equitable for partners in poorer countries. The Las Chicas Bravas ("Brave Gals") collective and their Retroworks de Mexico recycling operation provide fair wages and good working conditions in an economically depressed part of Mexico.
