Rainbow Dash WIP 8 - Mane & Tail
Project to build a LEGO model of Rainbow Dash.
Been a while since I've posted an update on this. I started this project over a year ago, and although initial progress was relatively quick, things have gradually tailed off (excuse the pun) over that time. But I'm still determined to get this thing finished.
Since the last update, I've finished Dashie's tail, and her mane is coming along, although there's still a fair bit to do on it. I've also made a start on her wings, although it's still very early days with them.
As well as the digital design, I've been collecting a lot of the real brick needed to build Dash, and I've even built a few sections of her. I've found this is a good way to keep me motivated with the project, if I can actually see things come together as intended.
I anticipate the design for LEGO Dash will be finished early next year (the Christmas Holiday is a good opportunity to spend some time on her). And the real model will follow closely behind that. Fingers crossed, I'll be taking the model to some exhibitions in 2017.
