Genius. The Cherry Blossom Festival people brought the goods, and the crowd went to town. Yes, it was free. Kids everywhere (and overbearing parents often right beside them). No line, just elbow your way within reach of the supplies. Write your name and come back in 10 minutes and it'd be dry. Growing up in Chicago one goes to a LOT of street fairs and art fairs and Tastes of [Place], and ideas like this are street fairs at their best.
Bowls turned out to be the limiting reagent--they ran out halfway through the afternoon. Reader, I made two. Oh, the shame.
