This is me trying to figure out why the fuel filler cavity was hacked up. As best as I can determine, the PO did this to install/remove the fule filler hose from the top, or as part of trying to fix/replace the broken/missing fuel filler evap hose sleeve and coupling. What's interesting is that the fule filler hose is still flexible, and is easily reformed to fot though the stock sized hole without any problem, even with the new metal hose fitting attached. There was no reason to hack up the fuel filler cavity like this. This will be fixed as soon as I can get a MIG welder and get comfortable enough to tackle this myself.
