Beta Jam - Mathbreakers
Mathbreakers is a 3-D action-adventure game where you battle number monsters by turning them to zero! Chop number enemies in half with the mighty fractions sword, deploy the multi-wave gadget to send shockwaves of multiplication, and unlock more spells and tools as you master each level.
Mathbreakers empowers kids to take control of their own math learning experience. Players are encouraged to experiment and explore the rich world of numbers around them to develop intuitive math sense. The current version targets math adventurers ages 7-12 and teaches fractions, negatives, integers, and operators. (But kids and adults of all ages are welcome!)
The game is currently in beta-development, and a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign is underway to develop it further.
You can play with the latest version of Mathbreakers on June 12 at The Tech and share your feedback and ideas with the creators! Come meet the development team and hear their story about how the game was conceived and the challenges of turning a math game into a fun, engaging adventure. Please bring your laptop if you have one!
