As kids we were sometimes (very sometimes actually, times were tough after the war) treated to a "bokkepoot" (translated "buckleg"), a cookie with chocolate at both ends, nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokkenpootje

Such a delicacy one would eat slowly to lengthen the enjoyment. This croc seems to have a similar challenge with his "bokkepoot", he took a long time to get this stiff "poot" through his throat, for reasons different from ours when we were young, I think. (And for the Dutch purists, the new spelling dictates "bokkenpoot" because many bucks have legs or because one buck has more then one leg, take your pick).
