Darter

Australasian Darter, Anhinga novaehollandiae at Lake Bennett, Northern Territory Often seen sitting in this position drying itself out. These birds have little water proofing in the feathers enabling them to dive down quickly to catch fish. Taken cruising around the lake with electric outboard on small boat. Middle of the day, not the best time tho.

1/1600 sec, F2.8, 70-200 @ 200mm, ISO 200
