Aurora australis 17 x Median

Just trying something different with Aurora australis shots from 2/1/25.

This is 17 shots with Nikon Z7Ii camereaa, 15 sec, f/40 32mm ISO 3200

I loaded all 17 images into Photoshop as layers

I then aligned all layers then converted the layers to a smart object.

Next in the layers/smart object menu. I chose Stack mode Median..

this had the effect of removing a large percentage of the clouds.

 

Done
