Seeing that I bought some test tubes the other day I wanted to set a couple up with smoke streaming out of the test tube and cascading down the side of the test tube like some weird science experiment.
So how do you get smoke to come out of a test tube and cascade down the side?
Well picture in your mind that this set up is all upside down. A couple of rubber bands around the test tubes, just below the wood part, preventing the test tubes from falling out.
Two Incense sticks burning madly placed into the test tubes. When the test tubes are full of smoke the smoke starts to billow out and rises upwards. Quickly remove the sticks and take a shot.
When finished flip the photo vertically and you get the above shot. I could have eliminated the last step by shooting with the camera upside down.
I wanted more volume of cascading smoke. This is the best I could come up with.
