This tea cosy has been awaiting completion for about five years! I have a small stockpile of commission that I'm starting to get through now and finally complete for the very lovely and very patient people who have commissioned them!
This cosy started as a very plain wool one with lots of text intended for embroidery on both sides, and then when I got it out again to work on a couple of weeks ago, I realised it needed lots more colour and so I've had a lot of fun patching scraps of silk and using decorative embroidery stitches to transform the whole.
