Cold Aisle Containment Airflow Analysis

Virtual smoke is coloured by temperature in this analysis. A containment system ensures only cold air is delivered to the equipment, whilst hot exhaust air is allowed free reign of the remaining data centre space. This is an example of an energy efficient way to manage a data centre. The design and simulation work has been carried out by Arup.
