Süleymaniye Mosque is a mosque built by Mimar Sinan in Istanbul between 1551-1557 in the name of Suleiman the Magnificent.

 

The Süleymaniye Mosque, which is described as the journeyman work of Mimar Sinan, was built as a part of the Süleymaniye Complex, which consists of madrasahs, library, hospital, primary school, Turkish bath, imaret, burial and shops.

It is on the Unesco World Heritage List.
