Taken at the Bronx zoo,
It is since 1980, more than 120 species of amphibians gone extinct! The entire populations of amphibians are dramatically getting wiped out. A devastating fungus is reportedly responsible for this precarious position the amphibians have reached.
I'm not a great fan of the zoos, I Love the animals in your environment, not in closed spaces or in jails, but is a great opportunity for take a different photos... =O).

Le ZooParc de Beauval, plus couramment appelé le zoo de Beauval ou, plus simplement, Beauval, est un parc zoologique français situé à Saint-Aignan dans le département de Loir-et-Cher, en région Centre-Val de Loire. Il présente environ 35 000 animauxNote 1 sur 44 hectares. Créé en 1980 par Françoise Delord, il est actuellement dirigé par son fils, Rodolphe Delord, et géré par sa famille, qui possède la majeure partie du capital.
Beauval fut souvent le premier parc zoologique à présenter certains animaux en France, ce qui a contribué à sa notoriété et à son développement. Il a notamment été le premier à présenter des fauves leuciques, tigres blancs et lions blancs, dans les années 1990. Aujourd'hui encore, plusieurs des espèces présentées sont rares en France, telles l'okapi, le lamantin et le rhinocéros indien, voire uniques en France, comme le panda géant, le koala, le dendrolague de Goodfellow et le diable de Tasmanie. En 2017, le ZooParc de Beauval devient le premier parc français, et le quatrième européen, à réussir la reproduction du panda géant.
Quatre serres présentent oiseaux, grands singes, paresseux, reptiles, lamantins et animaux australasiens, tandis que trois plaines permettent de présenter des herbivores de la savane africaine (girafes, rhinocéros blancs, gnous, antilopes), des éléphants d'Afrique et des herbivores asiatiques (rhinocéros indiens, tapirs de Malaisie, antilopes, etc.). Les autres installations notables du parc sont la zone chinoise intitulée Sur les hauteurs de Chine, une zone africaine avec La Réserve des Hippopotames et La Terre des lions, ainsi que les deux espaces consacrés aux spectacles : le bassin des otaries présentant L'Odyssée des lions de mer et le théâtre en plein air du spectacle d'oiseaux en vol libre intitulé Les Maîtres des airs. Der Erlebnis-Zoo Hannover ist ein zoologischer Garten im Stadtteil Zoo in Hannover. Er wurde am 4. Mai 1865 gegründet und umfasst eine Fläche von 22 Hektar. 2020 beherbergte die Anlage etwa 2150 Tiere in 181 Arten. Er besteht aus sieben Themenwelten, die an den natürlichen Lebensraum oder Kulturkreis der Tiere angelehnt sind, ihnen Rückzugsmöglichkeiten bieten und gleichzeitig den Besuchern Begegnungen ohne Gitter ermöglichen.

Flamingo's are a type of wading bird in the family Phoenicopteridae.
A group of flamingo's is called a

Flamingo's are omnivores and filter-feed on brine shrimp, and blue-green algae, as well as insect larvae small insects and mollusks and crustaceans.
The pink or reddish colour of flamingo's comes from carotenoid in their diet, of animal and plant plankton.
Flamingo's prefer to drink freshwater, but they are equipped with glands under their eyes
that remove extra salt from their bodies,so this organ allows them to also drink saltwater.
Meerkats work together in numbers. A few will typically serve as lookouts, like this lonely fellow, watching the skies for birds of prey, such as hawks and eagles, that can snatch them from the ground.
A sharp, shrill call is the signal for all to take cover. While a few individuals guard the group, the rest busy themselves foraging for the foods that make up their varied diet.
Meerkats will eat insects, lizards, birds, and fruit. When hunting small game, they work together and communicate with purring sounds. Meerkats are good hunters and are sometimes tamed for use as rodent-catchers.

Der Zoo Basel ist ein zoologischer Garten in Basel. Er befindet sich im Stadtquartier Basel-Bachletten am Fluss Birsig. Er wurde 1874 eröffnet und ist somit der älteste Zoo der Schweiz. Mit 7017 (2014) Tieren in 628 Arten (58 Säugetierarten, 88 Vogelarten, 41 Reptilienarten, 10 Amphibienarten, 284 Fischarten und 147 Arten an wirbellosen Tieren) besitzt er auch mit Abstand den grössten Tierbestand. Aufgrund von Zuchterfolgen wie bei Panzernashorn, Zwergflusspferd oder Westlichem Flachlandgorilla wurde der Stadtzoo weit über die Landesgrenzen hinaus bekannt und gilt daher, trotz seiner relativ kleinen Fläche von rund 11 Hektaren, als einer der bedeutenden Zoos von Europa. Tamanduas - Tamandua
Die Tamanduas sind eine Gattung mit zwei Arten aus der Unterordnung der Ameisenbären, die in Mittel- und Südamerika heimisch ist. Mit ihrer teils bodenlebenden und teils baumbewohnenden Lebensweise vermitteln sie zwischen dem bodenbewohnenden Großen Ameisenbären und dem sich nur in Bäumen aufhaltenden Zwergameisenbären. Wie diese leben die Tamanduas einzelgängerisch und ernähren sich von staatenbildenden Insekten.
Tamandua is a genus of anteaters with two species: the southern tamandua and the northern tamandua. They live in forests and grasslands, are semiarboreal, and possess partially prehensile tails. They mainly eat ants and termites, but they occasionally eat bees, beetles, and insect larvae.
