Only seems natural for the mouth of the river Rhine to have teeth.
For Macro Mondays theme: only food
I bought this quart of naturally colorful beans at the farm stand. The colors are great, but they all taste the same!

Etymologie Echinacea
De wetenschappelijke naam, Echinacea, is afgeleid van het Griekse echino of zee-egel.Deze naam verwijst naar het prachtige opstaande bloemhart, dat met enige fantasie op een zee-egel lijkt.

The Hudson River, from Tarrytown, NY.
The Manhattan skyline is visible at the horizon, down river.

The Tappan Zee Bridge is one of me and my wife's favorite spots to grab an exercise walk with it's great views and usually a nice breeze as you walk across. Plus unlike the East River bridges in Manhattan which are filled with tourists this bridge never gets the heavy crowds and has bathrooms at each end on top of no unsavory characters or crime issues. On this particular day my wife wanted to walk the whole 3.6 miles while I turned around at around 2 miles to go back and fetch our car, cross the bridge and pick her up.
During heavy thunderstorms we found shelter in this lovely beach club at the Brouwersdam. We saw the sky was changing rapidly. Needless to say we didn't take time for a second cup of coffee!

The coast of Katwijk aan Zee is reinforced with a new man-made dune barrier. Inside this dune is an underground car park.
