I was talking via comments to someone about photo's even old ones being memories laid down using photography. this is a case in point that as you can see was taking in 2010...It bought memories of that day flooding back and i even remembered where we parked and going through the kissing gate (grabbing a kiss of course :) and walking up to that church. My late husband would have been aged 61 yrs and still in good health then. I don't shy away from memories ever..and finding this among the lost folders hidden on my hard drive bought with it many happy memories..Sue..

There were reports of them which I didn't believe since in the last 25 yrs I have not seen one here. I was proven wrong and saw mom with two young pups. Isle Lake Alberta. Happy Canada Day!

June 6 1944 Greatest generation prevailed in the greatest amphibious landing that changed the world. Never Forget their sacrifice so we can be free.

These young men no more than 23 yrs old steeped into history, many made the ultimate sacrifice; remember Freedom is never free.

Time seems to be moving at an exponential pace. I'm going to guess that this was one of my many encounters with BA5. A very reliable middle of the day turn back south out of Burnham Yard for Blue Island. I hid in the weeds on the north side of Calumet Park for this view.

The B&O mainline east from Barr Yard is running across the center of the frame from right to left. The wiggly wiggles on the left side is the Harbor's connection to what remains of the PRR's SC&S. And of course the Harbor is on the....well, maybe it isn't so obvious. Calumet Park also contained the crossing of the Michigan Central's mainline with the B&O and PRR. The present Harbor Belt main east from Calumet Park is actually the Michigan Central main from what Ive put together. The ancient Harbor predecessor Chicago, Hammond and Western would have sliced across the MC at Calumet Park way back in the day as they were actually destined for Whiting, via Calumet City Yard, State Line and Burnham Yard.

At least I think I have that right...

this photo incidentally looks like photos i took around this time 13 yrs ago, in the autumn of 2011. which incidentally look like they sound like the band pavement ((because i listened to them all the time back then))

i was awakened early by the extraordinary light...`_>`

Thank You all so very much for ALL your kind e-mails and messages. I am sorry it has taken awhile to respond but once again I have been stricken with health issues. LOMS (Late Onset MS) has taken ahold of me and it has taken awhile for me to come to grips with this. Man it has been a few goolish yrs. I can't seem to catch a break. Fingers crossed this is it. I hope you guys are all doing well. Flickr runs out in Jan. and I don't think I will renew. I have lost some motorskills and honestly have lost the desire to go out and shoot. Gotta admit more afraid to go out with this darn pandemic. Ray is still suffering and the last thing I need is for him to catch again. We have had our shots but it means nothing. Blah blah I haven;t changed my whole life story. Anyway You guys are truly the best group of people I have met in sometime. I will try to comment on your photos until time runs out. Bless you all YOUR AWESOME.

I rarely edit, this is a photo I played around with. Taken in a box drapes with a black sheet and a small mirror on the bottom of sheet. Don't ask me what I did in editing I played with everything and filters. Why it's no longer sharp.

My all-time buddy and me at the Kunstmuseum Bonn (Bonn Art Museum), December 1993

Canon EOS 650, some old Chinese b&w roll film, digitized 08.02.2021

"The Kunstmuseum Bonn is not only renowned for its collection, but due to its exceptional architecture, it is also a highlight of the Federal City of Bonn, which can hold its own internationally as well.

The building by Axel Schultes, with its ambitious concept of “flowing” space, provides convincing conditions both in terms of the dimensions of the individual rooms, their visual and material connecting axes, as well as with reference to the flow of light, for optimally presenting art in all of its facets, from the Classical Modern to the varieties of the most recent art.

After the Museum had been housed for many years in cramped conditions in the inner city of Bonn, the building that had been planned in the mid-1980s by the team of architects Dietrich Bangert, Bernd Jansen, Stefan Scholz and Axel Schultes (BJSS) was opened in June of 1992. As a component of the Bonn Museum Mile the architecture is convincing both from the outside and from the inside due to its openness and its flow of light. The discreet, but in no way somber, language of forms with its playful components does not lose itself in a self-celebration of architecture. Indebted in its size to the spirit of the late 1980s, the building wholly subordinates itself to its service function as an exhibition location for the fine arts, also from a practical standpoint."

I'm thinking of scanning the box of prints / envelope of negatives as a source of entertainment this wintery long weekend.
