I was so hopeful when plans for this Square were announced. Finally, downtown Toronto would get a livable gathering place similar to the wonderful squares that are found in most neighbourhoods of European cities.

Alas, what we got was a sterile concrete space more suitable for pigeons than people.

This image is an attempt to capture the feeling one gets when visiting that unwelcoming concrete jungle.
