For Ryuichi Sakamoto, a genius
Ryuichi Sakamoto (坂本 龍一[a], Sakamoto Ryūichi, January 17, 1952 – March 28, 2023) was a Japanese composer, record producer, and actor who pursued a diverse range of styles as a solo artist and as a member of Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO).
Sakamoto influenced and pioneered a number of electronic music genres.
As a film-score composer, Sakamoto won an Oscar, a BAFTA, a Grammy, and 2 Golden Globe Awards. Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983) marked his debut as both an actor and a film-score composer; its main theme was adapted into the single "Forbidden Colours" which became an international hit. His most successful work as a film composer was The Last Emperor (1987), after which he continued earning accolades composing for films such as The Sheltering Sky (1990), Little Buddha (1993), and The Revenant (2015). On occasion, Sakamoto also worked as a composer and a scenario writer on anime and video games. In 2009, he was awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from the Ministry of Culture of France for his contributions to music.

I had the opportunity to shoot one of my favorite musicians, Ryuichi Sakamoto, who is probably most famous in the US for winning an Oscar for the soundtrack for "The Last Emperor." Also, he was a member of the group Yellow Magic Orchestra, and has collaborated with another one of my favorite musician, David Sylvian on such songs as "Forbidden Colours" from "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence".
The show was structured much like a classical music concert - no chatting with the audience, letting the music speak for itself. The one other photog and I were were placed in the back so as not to disrupt the tranquility of the concert. Sorry I couldn't zoom in tighter, but I was happy to be there and this was one of my favorite captures of the night.

Ryuichi Sakamoto (坂本 龍一 ), Sakamoto Ryūichi (1952 – 2023) was a Japanese composer, record producer, and actor who pursued a diverse range of styles as a solo artist and as a member of Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO).
The pianist and composer revealed himself in the visionary electronics of the Yellow Magic Orchestra and was the author of emblematic works such as the soundtrack of Feliz Natal, Mr. Lawrence. He was 71 years old.
Considered the “grandfather of electronic pop” for his experimentation early in his career, Sakamoto has scored films such as the Academy Award “Best Picture” nominee, Alejandro González's “The Revenant”; and the feature film “The Last Emperor”, by Bernardo Bertolucci, a film that earned the composer an Oscar for “Best Original Soundtrack”.
In 1983, Sakamoto debuted in the film “Furyo: In the Name of Honor” (Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence), by Nagisa Oshima, alongside British singer David Bowie.

The entire B-body lineup for 1968 was redesigned and the Charger was further differentiated from the Dodge Coronet models. Designer Richard Sias developed a double-diamond coke bottle profile with curves around the front fenders and rear quarter panels. Front and rear end sheet metal was designed by Harvey J. Winn. The rear end featured a "kick up" spoiler appearance, inspired by Group 7 racing vehicles. On the roof, a "flying buttress" was added to give the rear window area a look similar to that of the 1966-67 Pontiac GTO. The Charger retained its full-width hidden headlight grille, but the fully rotating electric headlights had been replaced by a simple vacuum operated cover. The full-width taillights were gone as well. Instead, dual circular taillights were added at the direction of Styling Vice President, Elwood P. Engel. Dual scallops were added to the doors and hood to help accent the new swoopy lines.
The standard engine was the 318 cu in (5.2 L) 2-bbl V8, until it was replaced in mid-year with a 225 cu in (3.7 L) slant-six. The 383-2 and 383-4 remained unchanged. A new high-performance package was added, the R/T ("Road/Track" with no 'and' between Road and Track). The R/T came standard with the previous year's 440 "Magnum" and the 426 Hemi was optional With either, the Charger had evolved into possibly the top Chrysler-made muscle car.
The 1968 film Bullitt helped popularize the Charger R/T for its notable car chase sequence, with a black RT. chased by Steve McQueen, Bullitt, in his Mustang in reality the Charger would have eaten the Mustang for breakfast. A black 1970 Charger is driven by Vin Diesel throughout the Fast and the Furious series of movies,

Hello everyone!
Some of you may have seen my unboxing of Barbie's Fashion Collectibles #1900 on YouTube: youtu.be/LpEVnFjnj3o
I love this rarer variation with a floral print that also features some pretty birds. Usually this outfit is yellow with multi-coloured splotches and a purple vest. This version came with a burgundy vest but I prefer it without the vest altogether. I teamed the outfit with some brown ankle strap heels.
I have named this girl Tong Poo after one of my favourite YMO songs. Her friend Vicky is wearing Best Buy #3638 (1981) which you all saw on Miko not long ago. This time I kept it simple and swapped the yellow mules for some green ankle strap heels.
Hoping you all are well!

The second generation of the Charger was introduced for the 1968 model year. Designed by Richard Sias with a double-diamond coke bottle profile with curves around the front fenders and rear quarter panels. Front and rear end sheet metal was designed by Harvey J. Winn. The Charger retained its full-width hidden headlight grille, but a vacuum operated cover replaced the electric motor rotating headlights. The previous full-width taillights were replaced with dual circular units.
The standard engine was the 318 cu in (5.2 L) 2-bbl V8, until it was replaced in mid-year with a 225 cu in (3.7 L) slant-six. The 383-2 and 383-4 remained unchanged. A new high-performance package was added, the R/T (Road/Track with no 'and' between Road and Track). The R/T came standard with the previous year's 440 Magnum and the 426 Hemi was optional.
The 1969 model year brought few modifications. Exterior changes included a new grille with a centre divider and new longitudinal taillights both designed by Harvey J. Winn. In 1969 the B-series engines were all painted turquoise with the exception of the 383 four speed, 440 Magnum and 426 hemi which were painted Street Hemi Orange. The 335-hp 383 Magnum engines were also painted Street Hemi Orange. The 383 Magnum motor was used in Road Runners and Super Bees, but did not appear in a Charger body until 1971.
This Charger is the same model Charger used by the Ross hitmen in the famous chase with Bullitt 's(Steve McQueen) Ford Mustang, both cars were prepared by Balchowski and during filming two Mustangs and two Chargers were used. Bill Hickman played the Charger driver in Bullitt and actually drove the car in the movie
