Sorry, kinda forgot about Flickr, but here I am, not dead yet.
I'm leaving tomorrow for a week of birding in eastern California, so I'll be away for a little while longer, but here's a Woodpecker Finch from the Galapagos. Probably the best known of Darwin's Finches, this guy is known to use twigs to get bugs out of rotting wood. I got super excited when I saw this one going to forage, but he pulled out a bug without needing a tool, which made me question everything I knew about anything.

B&O GP30 #6934 is fresh out of the paint booth on March 14th 1974. Dig that classic EMD "Hotdog" builder's plate. #6934 didn't make it to the rebuilt program in the early 80s, and as a vulnerable 567-powered engine at the creation of CSX, it went straight into the bin as road slug fodder, emerging as CSXT #2217. It served faithfully until CSX yeet'd their GP30RDMT fleet about 5 years ago. No photographer listed, no time machine available. JL Sessa collection.

This was not an easy build, and I don't know just what to think about it. I hope it's interesting, and I may say I learned a few more things making it, it's a pity I didn't have more pieces and more opportunity to perfect it!
This build is for the Summer Joust, and it is very delicate because I had to fit it all in a width of 6 studs, which was... very challenging in many regards! You can see the proof below in the first comment. But I enjoyed it, and I hope you like it at least a little!

This frigade was originally manufactured by Gallofree Yards, Inc.
However, this very specific frigade sustained heavy battle damage and has since been partially reconstructed.
(loosely based on the GR-75 medium transport)
It is accompanied by a heavy rebel bomber which was constructed from the scrap of multiple wrecked ships, consisting of, but not limited to a B-wing, a Firespray-31-class patrol and multiple other starfighters.

Prototype component from an unfinished project.
On a whim, I cracked open the iceboxed files for the incomplete T-1 Taurus and ran a few of its components through trial renders. The main engine turbine ended up looking hella sexy, so figured I'd yeet it onto the Net. Enjoy.
There are decent odds I might revisit the project itself soon (I have what I need to finish now), but the staggering time cost, coupled with my own severe lack of personal time, makes it a daunting proposition. As with so many prospective endeavors - someday, maybe. The mind is willing, but the meatsuit has its limits.
