This was a quick shot so I could get back to spending quality time with the babe Pnd

A westbound freight train is seen at QN Tower in Washington DC on the B&O. C&O U23B #2313 is seen leading, and was quite the rare leader on this part of the railroad. While GE products certainly came through, most of the time they were trailing. If they did lead, it was most often a B30-7. I've never seen a picture of a U23B leading on the B&O here until this slide. The C&O's U23Bs were built in 1969, and were so worn out and unreliable, only a couple even made it to CSX. This engine along with several others were already retired by the mid 1980s. U23Bs from the Seaboard side of CSX lasted a little longer and into the mid 1990s. QN tower can be seen just to the right of the signals, and the Capitol Dome visible faintly behind them. Notice the myriad of trackage once controlled by QN tower; the entrance to Eckington Yard. All that's left here are the two main line tracks, and the terminal lead into WUS. Eckington Yard, the CPLs, QN, and all of the industries are gone. The slide is dated March 3rd 1979, but I wonder if that's correct...as the lead unit still has footboards which were outlawed by then. No photographer listed, JL Sessa collection.

It's Eleven O'Clock , do you know where your dogs are ?

To help celebrate Amtrak's 10th Anniversary, LRC set (Light, Rapid & Comfortable) - 38 & 39 were brought to Union Station in Washington, DC. It was built by Bombardier in Montreal, Canada in February of 1980. In addition to being on display at WUS, you could also take a ride from DC to ( I'm not sure, but I think it was to Odenton). Here, power car 39 is leading S/B to WUS under a former PRR signal bridge. Note the keystone marker on the catenary pole to the left.

I'm a wus today. It got up to +4F earlier today, but its already starting to drop as the wind picks up. Its going to get windier as all this 'warm' air gets replaced by the cold we expect tonight. They are predicting -30F tonight - awww spingtime in vermont (ha ha).

So I'm just not going to snowboard today - I don't have to, you can't make me : P. The -27F night before last left the snow wicked slow which combined with the blizzard windpack makes for a tricky ride in the woods - you either rocket through or are stuck in waist deep pow if you break trough. And the fun ends there for a few minutes while you swim out .. or worse, as my buddy at piecasso did, smack your face on a tree - ouch, he's OK, but he got a nice shinner : ).

Plus its just freaking cold today, and I want to lay around and do nothing except think -- ok and play on flickr - duh! : )

I ventured out all by myself the other day (I hate going anywhere on my own.... such a wus!!) I even got chatting to an lovely old 'young' gentlemen and encouraged him to join us on flickr with some of his flower pictures. :-)

Hope you are all well and got off to a good start this week.

This half-timbered Jacobean farmhouse, transformed by the de Rothschilds towards the end of the 19th century, now houses an exceptional collection of paintings, fine furniture and superb oriental porcelain.

The extensive gardens are an attractive mix of formal and natural, with specimen trees and shrubs and some unusual features.

Forecast said for high clouds but there weren't any that morning and it wus much colder then expected -11 °C. I have spotted this lovely tree few months ago when it still had green leaves on, I thad this unusual uniform shape. I wanted to come back when leaves turned yellow but I mussed it by few days and they were all gone. I thing this winter sunrise does it justice. What do you think, Please leave a comment below.

Strathlcyde Buses LA1189 is seen on Gallowgate in 1993 just outside the Forge Shopping Centre working on a 62A to Easterhouse.

LA1189 was one of the 15 small batch of WUS/S Leyland Atlanteans new to Greater Glasgow PTE in August and September 1977 following the UGG/Rs. It did well though lasting in service until 1997 having spent its last year with SBLs GCT operation.

Thought it was time for me to make some more figs.

From L to R:

Zemo: I decided to try him again since my last one wasn’t great. Idk if I should have still used the collar piece here.

Bucky Barnes: Gave him a casual look since I already did his main look. I remembered that I prefer this head for him.

John Walker: I don’t use the spider man parts again cause they just didn’t work well.

Sam Wilson: Like Bucky I made him in his casual outfit.

Lemar Hoskins: Really wish I had a swat vest that wasn’t GCPD.

Strathclyde's Buses Leyland Atlantean LA1215 picks up at Dalmuir, Clydebank whilst working a 64 out to Carmyle in 1991. The 50 strong XUS/S batch of Atlanteans followed the 15 WUS/S batch with all delivered between 1977 and 1978.

LA1215 lasted in Glasgow service until 1997 before being delicenced having spent its last 10 years at Parkhead Depot.

"Been having a good time today as pack leader took us to the woods and the sun came out! Bestest points included 3 gates (I like to get to those first), a river .. I like the noise and excitement of those, and a very very muddy forestry track where loggers had been working .. which I got properly into up to my tummy .. .... the down side of that was a dunk in a pond .. I don't like water, cos it's for looking at only! .. but on this occasion I wus duped into leaping before looking ... anyway it didn't last long as I can levitate out of water faster than light and a quick sprint down the forestry track soon ridded me of all that wet nasty stuff I (I left quite an impressive wet streak on the track!) The other two said they had seen it all before but I swear I can't remember ....!!

"Out on a Limb"

This photograph was taken on a crisp winter day in South Lake Tahoe. The bleached, snow-worn branches are a dramatic textural contrast to the rough bark on the tree, which frames a vivid Emerald Bay and Fannette Island.

Lake Tahoe’s Emerald Bay, carved by glaciers thousands of years ago, is nestled against the west shore of the lake. Rising 150 feet above the water’s surface is a granite, brush-covered mound known as Fannette Island. Over the past 100 years, this little jewel in the bay has been called Coquette, Baranoff, Dead Man’s, Hermit’s, and Fannette Island, as well as Emerald Isle.

...Ok, so that's the text my editor wrote (Cherie Davidson) for this photo (She's da'bomb), now here's the text I wrote:

"This is a pichure I toke with my camura won day wen I wus driving threw the snow at lake Tahow. This tree wus souper cool with nakid branchus and red would bark so I climded up on a snow bank so the eyeland wood be seen threw them."

She has a way of slightly improving on what I give her -- job sacerity, for shure. Most of the time I say "hey, here's a new shot I took...it needs text" and she magically comes up with the best stuff!

Look closely and you may see me in the Fuel Cap, thus the title "Into Fuel." Gas prices drop as election time nears, enjoy it while you can. They will go back up once the election is over. Don't you wonder what car shows will like, or even if they will even exist in another 20 years? A bunch of multicolored Prius's and Tesla's and the like as people listen to the quiet humming of their engines. Sounds like Fun! What a wus of a nation we have become.

This car was took part in the Leavenworth Cruisers Car Show held at Ray Miller Park in Leavenworth Kansas.

Thanks for viewing, C&C welcome as always!

Really like it with this bracelet and fits pretty good.
