When my daughter Sam was visiting last week, she was looking at my cards, and left them out. The Fool was just sitting there tonight, atop all the others, beckoning to me. It can be great to feel everything intensely, and it can also be a great burden. Today it feels like the latter, and like it might be wise, not to retreat back into my cave, but perhaps to go back to 0. The Fool unifies the entire deck, all of the suits with the Greater Arcana. Graves says, "The Fool is one who is selfless. He is emptyminded, and by this emptyness he is full of the potential for knowledge. It is through the eyes of The Fool that one must look if his intention is to observe the truth." Sounds like a good place to start to me.
We are inviting you to discover the illusion of this. All objects are apparent, but we are not dealing with the body or the mind as an object, or with the experience of the world as the experience with an object. There is the whole problem: we are dealing with the body and the mind as if it is what we are, as if the experience of the world was the experience of the Real Life. God is playing with contrasts, with hunger and satiety. When I am hungry, I eat. There is no division between eating and hunger. It is a wedding, a game, a divine game... the food is for a hungry stomach. There is no problem about being hungry, as the body needs hunger: this is a problem of the body. When thought is present, it complains about hunger, but hunger has its place, everything has its place. Hunger is not misery, lack is not misery, poverty is not misery, scarcity is not misery, lack of something is not misery.
