Hawaii’s Carissa Moore opened the 2023 World Surf League Championship Tour season in triumphant fashion with a win at the Billabong Pro Pipeline on the North Shore of Oahu. With her February 8 victory, Moore regains the yellow jersey and world’s top ranking heading into the second event of the WSL season which takes place down the road at Sunset Beach starting on Sunday, February 12.

I was invited to lunch at the Rainbow Beach SLSC. It is the first day of th World Surfing leage at Rainbow I didn't have a pass to enter the beach and nor do I want to. However it is a fantastic event for surfers and visitors alike.
