Are beaming out
As if to burn your heart
They mesmerise
They hypnotise
You're powerless to depart
You cannot look away
Nor move
They hold you in their glare
You're trapped
Within a sea of gold
Captive of a golden stare

Felicity Redbow
was fish of the year
when she swam into town
for her crown premier
Her lovely red bow
set her lashes aflutter
and her beauty shone brightly
quite like no other
She was gently demure
and then strong and secure
when she met George the Grouper
who was perfect for her
He took her to dinner
A fancy affair
so she wore her best redbow
pinned into her hair
George was so wowed
as they made their love vows
and Felicity Redbow
became his sweet spouse

George the fine Grouper
was fish of the walk
when he saw Miss Felicity
and plied his sweet talk
Her lovely red bow
matched the shine of her lips
and her sparkly eyes
like a lunar eclipse
He was strong and secure
she was sweet and demure
as they dined and entwined
it was love, to be sure
They went on a journey
to the oceans below
where he showed her his kingdom
and put on a show
Their fishiest friends
cheered and clapped very loudly
as they made their love vows
happy George kissed her proudly

Goldie McFishkin
had fun with the prawns
with their big flicky tails
as they sang her sweet songs
Their long wavy feelers
made her little heart swoon
and their musical notes
had her humming in tune

Eddie the Easter Bunny
lived in a glade in the wood
under the beautiful mushrooms
in a leafy neighbourhood
He worked all year making chocolate eggs
getting ready for Easter time
to ensure there would be enough for all
wrapped in paper of bright design

made his rock pool debut
and bubbled about all the day
He hung out below
with his bubbles on show
’til his friends all came out to play

was a beautiful lass
a flapper ahead of her time
She danced all the night
t’was a beautiful sight
of rare beauty
and truly sublime

Louie flew his wooden plane
high above the clouds
He swooped and turned
He loop-de-looped
He felt so very proud
He built the plane
from bits of wood
Paint and varnish too
Attached a big propellor
It was looking oh so good
He donned his flying helmet
Climbed into the pilots seat
He turned the switch
The engine fired
A tune that sounded sweet
The plane swooped up
Banked left and right
And dived right down again
Then back up to the clouds it soured
Oh what a glorious flight
