To know me you have to understand three things:
my silences, my eyes, and the words I don't say .... but the ones I write ...

Pick up the pen, put it on the paper
Write on my skin, bring me to life
Can't start again, there ain't no eraser
All of my flaws, you got them so right
Everything is blank until you draw me
Touching on my body like you know me
Write on me
Colour outside the lines
Love the way you tear me up
Baby, take your time
Write on me
Give me some wings, I'll fly
Love the way you tear me up
I'll never change my mind
Write on me, write on me
Write on me, write on me
I write this with a heavy heart. The last couple of years have found me with a progressively debilitating spinal column and joint problems. If it were just me, I would never ask, but I have 2 young daughters that look to me for support, so I have to swallow my pride...
If you are in a position to help, I have setup an account to accept donations, even as small as the price of a coffee. Or, I also have PayPal. Anything would be greatly appreciated. See my "About" page on Flickr for the link. Thank you.

Close your eyes and I'll kiss you
Tomorrow I'll miss you
Remember I'll always be true
And then while I'm away, I'll write home everyday
And I'll send all my loving to you
I'll pretend that I'm kissing the lips I am missing
And hope that my dreams will come true
And then while I'm away, I'll write home everyday
And I'll send all my loving to you
All my loving I will send to you
All my loving
Darling, I'll be true
"The mossy marble statue stood proudly to the side of the entrance to the Halls of Story, cradling in its arms a closed book.
It seemed to me it was guarding ancient tales of magic and wisdom, waiting for the right audience to start storytelling for them."

Come Write In is a communal writing space that was created primarily for writers interested or participating in the Nation Novel Writing Month event, which happens every November. The goal is to craft a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. You can tackle this challenge on your own, or as part of a group, but you're not alone! There are many people who participate each year, even across the world, and some of them are here in SL!
Grab yourself a glamping tent, or a chair by the fire, and work. Or commune with your muse and enjoy a comfortable place to park yourself in a chill relaxed environment while you're tabbed out and chatting in the forums.
To connect with other writers in SL, just join the Come Write In group! They will be organizing write-ins, word wars and sprints, and other fun writing activities throughout the month of November.

A few days ago our dear Paty told us goodbye. He had a very happy life with us and we with her. It was always one more in the family and without a doubt the most spoiled! Leave multitude of memories in our memory, hundreds of photographs on the hard drive and a huge emptiness in our hearts. With tears in my eyes I write these words.
I miss you so much.
Until always my little Paty !!!!!

Still by the same staircase. Our daughter is walking around in east Auckland as I write posting photos without rain or wind though it was intense last night.

We had nice light on the foothills of the Spanish Peaks today. The clouds were low with a pending snowstorm on its way. As I write this it's snowing like a bandit, and the mountains are nowhere to be seen. The Grand Dikes are clearly visible in the middle ground, with the Spanish Peak wilderness area in the FG. Taken from our Deck. Zoom in to see pretty good detail
she doesn't write about them with great skill ;-)

This image was created with the AI App WOMBO Dream, edited in Photoshop Elements. It is not so much a story that follows, as an explanation, in a vague and abstract way. With some of these odd images, I thought I would write a little vignette of imagination . . . or not. :) So check it out in the first comment and maybe there is a story!

I am sure some conversation is going on between the rocks :))
Left Rock: Everyone admires the beauty of ocean, mountain and the sky.... but nobody cares for us.... we are nothing but rocks.
Right bigger rock: Unlike those, you are working for a great cause. You are part of the rocks upholding The Bowen Island. Do it with a smile, brother!

There's poison in my drinking glass
Don't stop, just sip it down
And in a swirling masquerade of sound
My body hits the ground
I'm beautiful when I'm asleep
Martini kisses land
On my blistered bloody scarlet lips
The bottle's in my hand
Burn out, not fade away
I'll speak in riddles so you can understand
I'll draw in pencil so you can trace with pen
So in love with me like sand to wet feet
I'll write both our names into the wet concrete

After a beautiful sunset out by the Peter Iredale, I dashed with intent and purpose toward the spot where I previously shot this. I took that picture with what Canon decides to grace us suckers with as a kit lens, and it's a bit soft and grainy as a result. So here we go again.
The weather has been beautiful, so the Saturday night sky was a glorious dark blue/purple. Very different from the dark, misty night I previously shot on. This is also a two-minute exposure as opposed to a 30-second, giving my "spaghetti" a much thicker consistency. I'm very pleased with the clarity, and I had a great time trying to find this spot again (after weaving all over the top of the hill yet again--I should really write that street down).
123-second exposure at 53mm using a cable release - ISO 100, f/13 - Canon 17-85 IS lens
I promised a birthday card for Adriana, and this silvery evening shot seems perfect. My Lighthouse is by Villagers.
She loves poetry so this is a poem by Pablo Neruda
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
Write, for example,'The night is shattered
and the blue stars shiver in the distance.'
The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.
Through nights like this one I held her in my arms
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.
She loved me sometimes, and I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.
To hear the immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.
What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is shattered and she is not with me.
This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
My sight searches for her as though to go to her.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.
The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.
I no longer love her, that's certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.
Another's. She will be another's. Like my kisses before.
Her voide. Her bright body. Her inifinite eyes.
I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is so short, forgetting is so long.
Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my sould is not satisfied that it has lost her.
Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her.

;-) ...

La Rotonda is a villa near Vicenza in northern Italy. Its real name is Villa Almerico Capra Valmarana (or Villa Capra for short), but it is known as La Rotonda or Villa Rotonda.
It was designed by the Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. The villa was planned and built around 1567-1571. The client was Bishop Paolo Almerico.
Whoever now writes that this is a great postcard photo is “insulting” me and the photo!
As an architect and landscape planner, my aim is to show the perfection, quality and grace of this project. An unflattering photo would not help.
In addition, the architect chooses different angles not only to make a project attractive, but also to show the essential elements of the park and building ...
As you can see on the right, under the tree, the ensemble is so impressive that some people fall directly into a swoon-like deep sleep ...
anyway, when you leave there, you're not sure if it was a fantastic dream or reality ...
