Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is « gift wrapping material ».
Gifts wrapping may be a little bit nerf wrecking, especially if your gift is round or irregular shape…
I must admit, I’m very bad at wrapping gifts (but dont you worry I have others qualities !!) … I don’t have the patience and also we should not forget about my fat Nutella fingers. I always forget about the wrapping so I have to search for wrapping paper at the very last minute… and I end up using any kind of paper I can find (even old magazines or my kids drawings lol) That is why I absolutely love gift bags !!! After reading this I decides that from now on, all the wrapping (if there is any) will be done by my husband. It is safer that way....

Macro Mondays: Wrapping
The "Tissue Rap" is a rap I used to encourage Pre-school children to blow their nose😂
I‘ve repeatedly called myself "clumsy" and I know that a number of people can‘t quite imagine that I am, considering some of the more delicate macro-arrangements I experimented with… however if you ever get the chance to watch me folding laundry and particularly wrapping a gift, you would immediately know what I‘m talking about. 😅 What a mess!

Both of my daughters spent time as a foreign exchange student in Japan. They made friends with a family that sent us beautiful gifts every year. Here are some of the furoshiki cloths they sent. I think this sort of wrapping is a great idea.
We only exchange cards these days but I treasure these gifts from the past.
