On one of the foggiest mornings I ever witnessed, I was on my way home from shooting a sunrise. I saw the mist coming in, a huge cloud just enveloping everything around me. I've always liked this tree, but with the mist and some of that golden hour light behind it, it became very painterly.
Day Four of my Modern Day Village People Photo Series for Pride Month. Today it's the Leather Guy. Kinda speaks for itself really.
“Ahnung“ („Hunch“) is the title of this installation work by Antje Scholz as part of the German artist group “Endmoräne“. I took the photo at the group'ss exhibition “Verlandet" in the Lenné-Park of Castle Dahlwitz, Berlin-Hoppegarten in June 2013.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the anual exhibition could only take place virtually online this year.

Given that freezing rain had fallen overnight, it was surprisingly quiet when I first stepped outside. I found that slowly sliding my feet along the ground was the safest way to make my way towards my garden plants. The center of this flower sparkled in the early morning light of day, so I just had to capture the essence of this frozen beauty.
Well, not everything is wrapped up yet. I still have my stuff to wrap. I just haven’t had an opportunity yet. As usual, I will be burning the Midnight Oil. Mark my word’s, I WILL have it all wrapped up and close to perfection. 🌟☮️✝️👼🙏🎵☃️🎄🎁

It's probably pretty obvious what part of this is but in case you can't guess, it's bubble wrap over scented washing beads. HMM

Edit: The Exif info is changed when adding a border in Lightroom but I did take the photo today. Janet, if you need me to upload the original, I will, I just think the white enhances the colour.
An ice storm encased a budding plant in a frozen sphere. It reminded me of a crystal ball. Thank you, Mother Nature!

2020 wurde der Triumphbogen in Paris für zwei Wochen vollständig verhüllt – ein ephemeres Kunstwerk von Christo und Jeanne-Claude. Rund 25.000 m² Stoff und 3.000 m Seil hüllten das Monument ein und ließen die vertraute Architektur in neuem Licht erscheinen.
In 2020, the Arc de Triomphe in Paris was completely wrapped for two weeks, creating a temporary artwork by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. Around 25,000 m² of fabric and 3,000 m of rope covered the monument, offering a fresh perspective on its familiar architecture.
