My husband is my best friend. He loves flying and he is a bird watcher, too.
Using watercolor cardstock cut to 5 1/2" X 4 1/4", Tim Holtz distress inks were blended onto the paper, starting at the bottom.
-140# Strathmore watercolor paper
-tumbled glass
-peacock feathers
-chipped sapphire
This was dry embossed with a chevron pattern.
-Sizzix Tim Holtz Texture Fades embossing folder.
A card base was cut and folded to make a of 6 1/2" X 5 1/4" card. A panel of 6 1/4" X 5" cardstock was cut to go on top of the card base. A piece of fun foam was cut a bit smaller than the watercolor embossed panel to go between it and the second layer. All layers were adhered.

The image was stamped, colored, and fussy cut. Clear Wink of Stella was applied in certain area of the bird body to highlight it. A dot of black Glaze was added to the eye. After this dried, a smaller dot of white Gelly Roll was placed in the center of the black. Glossy Accents was applied to the berries. After everything dried, the bird image was glued to the front panel.

The hearts and music staff were die cut in white cardstock and colored. Glossy Accents was used on the hearts and notes. Elements were dried, then adhered to the front panel.

-(music notes) Jingle Snowflakes with the snowflakes cut off
-(music notes) colored with Faber-Castell PITT Artist pen in

Sentiment was stamped on cardstock. This was trimmed down to make a banner. Ink was lightly blended onto the front. The banner was then glued onto the front.

This is for the monthly challenge by Gerda Steiner Designs. The hang in there monkey is this months image. I printed this cute digi stamp on a laser printer and colored him in Copics. I then used the leaf background stamp by Penny Black with Distress inks. Party Like an Animal is from a Wplus9 Set. I finished this cute card with sequins from 28 Lilac Lane Neutrals mix.

Hello everyone!
Today I’m sharing a card that I love a lot… I love this dark rich brown and this tone of blue to go with. I must say that the star of the show here are again my favorite and versatile papers. Every time I peruse those papers I find something perfect to go with whatever I’m doing at the time :). For this card I created a really busy and involving study/research work environment… of course coffee had to be present in such place. I water colored the mug “inside and outside” with Distress markers and gold Ecoline respectively. To give the idea of transparent glass I removed some of the previous water coloring and added just a little bit of very diluted white Ecoline; also used a white gel pen to accent the border of the mug. The pattern paper in the bg is from an invitation to my sister’s school anniversary that I kept for “just” nine years, because it's beautiful… and also because I knew I would use it some day :).

I used the ink and impress technique on these cards that Jennifer McGuire used in one of her videos. The stencil is from SSS. The happy greeting is from Lawn Fawn and the wishes greeting is from WPlus9.

For this 6"X6" card base I cut Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock.
-Cut card base front 6"X6 1/2" and make a 1/2" fold to glue to the next piece.
-Cut 6"X10 1/4" cardstock and make a 4 1/4" fold to use as the bottom of the freestanding card.
-Use Ranger Multi Medium Matte to glue the 1/2" section to the top of the 6"X 4 1/4" section.
-Use a solid colored 6"X6" paper to later adhere to the front of the card. I used E-Z RUNNER Scrapbook Adhesive.
-Choose a coordinating patterned paper and cut it to 5 3/4" square to adhere to the solid color.
-Cut two pieces of white lace about 2" each and color the lace with My Favorite Things Grape Jelly dye ink. Use Tombow Mono DOTS adhesive to glue the lace beneath the center line of the card. Wrap the edges around to the back and tape down.
-Pick a solid colored paper and trim to 3 13/16" X 5 1/8" and tape off-centered to the front.
-Choose a different coordinating patterned paper and cut it to 3 1/2" X 4 3/4" to adhere to front.
-Pick a 3 3/8" X 3 6/8" coordinating patterned paper to compliment the rest.
-Cut a piece of fun foam just a little smaller than the paper just cut and use the E-Z RUNNER to adhere it to this paper.
-Choose a coordinating patterned paper and cut it to
2 15/16" X 3 1/4" to tape it on top.
-Cut three 7" pieces of white twine. Space them evenly apart on the left side of the card and tape them down on the back of the card front.
-Cut another 7" piece of white twine to tie a bow around the middle of the three pieces of twine. Adhere the mid-section with a small Zot. Trim bow.
-Adhere this layered card front to the 6"X6" card base with E-Z RUNNER.
-Cut a coordinating paper to 6" X 2".
-Cut a piece of fun foam just a little smaller than the paper just cut and use the E-Z RUNNER to adhere it to this paper.
-Mount this onto the 4 1/4" bottom section of the card near the front edge.
-Die cut Memory Box Frostyville Border and two each of Simon Says Stamp snowflakes by Kristina Werner, as well as two Happy Birthday Blessings. Use Ranger Multi Medium Matte to glue like snowflakes together as well as words together.
-Edge the border and snowflakes with Wplus9 Lake House ink using a finger dabber.
-Ink border and snowflakes with VersaMark sticky ink, then sprinkle them with Stamp 'N' Bond. Heat set and sprinkle on Martha Stewart Crystal glitter.
-Adhere large snowflake with a foam dot to the center of the front of the card. Add a gem to the center.
-Adhere sentiment and cover with Clear Wink of Stella.
-Adhere two snowflakes near the sentiment with Multi Medium Matte on the bottom of the card. Add a gem to the center of each snowflake.

I have so enjoyed using my new Doodle Bug Polar Pals 6"X6" cardstock. Also, it is new to me to make a freestanding card. It was fun.

I have used the WPlus9 flower, Hero Arts leaves, numbers and alphabet, and Avocado Arts scallop border and sentiment. I stamped the flower in Red Royal, but it looked a bit flat, so I added more colour with my copics.

I did some stamping, and then watercolor the ice cream and flowers with Distress Markers and one Tombow Marker. Recently, I’ve seen Jennifer McGuire using these markers (Tombow) with some frequence. I own one of these for some time, because they can be easily found (in almost every crafting supplies store) here in PT, sold separately. When I first tried my Tombow M., I used with, and as, I use Distress M., and there was something I wasn't completely happy with… when stamping and watercoloring, the lines of the shape you stamp disappear completely, which is not so easy for the drawing orientation, however, for no line watercoloring they are just great, as they have very vibrant colors and they are sold in a huge variety of shades and hues. All this to say that I also love these markers very much :).
