There are over 1000 slot canyons in southern Utah.
Cottonwood Canyon is located near the Cockscomb in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. On a hot day, the shade doesn't offer a great break from the heat, because the air flow through the canyon is pretty low. And, despite the fact that this is a desert, slot canyons are no place to be if there are heavy rains.
For me, this scene is special because of the colors and the quiet nature of this place. Hiking along the canyon with my bride is a great memory from an amazing journey.

Been up all night looking at falling stars :) Last night was supposed to be a once in a year thing. Found out it is hard to catch them :) Anybody know the rest of the song :) The elevation is almost 10,000 ft, I think that is why it is so clear and so many stars.

I drove several hours under the rain but, arriving at Jökulsárlón glacial lake, I had this nice gift : the clouds dispersed for the sunset.
Tweede bewerking van een foto van windmolen de Passiebloem. Deze foto is te zien tijdens de foto-expositie "Spelen met spiegelingen" in het Cultuurhuis te Zwolle. Te zien vanaf 5 december t/m 31 januari 2017. Daarna verhuist de foto naar de molen de Passiebloem zelf.
