Nature has endowed the relief of this vast rock formation with incredible colors. In Spanish, the Valle del Arcoiris means "Valley of the Rainbow", a name worthy of this grandiose landscape of red, white, yellow and brown cliffs standing out against the blue sky. This emblematic site of San Pedro de Atacama attracts visitors from all over the world to admire its splendid colors.

My attempt at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Necklace".
Just had to start one last try with this tiny inconspicuous lens which creates such a wonderful smooth rendering in my eyes..
Why, Agfa? Why wouldn't you build this lens in series? Or if you did, what is it called, and where was it used?
Listening to "Videotape" by Radiohead while shooting this… hence the title:
They never recorded this live version, which is completely different from the studio version. What a pity… while both are great in their own way (and connected through a hidden syncopated rhythm - there‘s a video on that detail…) this one would certainly be worthy of being recorded as well!

Shot with an Agfa "M 3525 6/3" lens on a Canon EOS R5.
It may be mid-teen temperatures and 20+mph winds, but that isn't stopping me from braving the cold for some pictures! With a hefty train in tow for Cadwell, Shelbyville, etc, the UP LSB54 gains speed after slowing for a northbound grain train to enter Tuscola siding. Crew members Strubinger and Garfield will soon be hopping out and braving the cold to perform their duties for the day. This weather doesn't stop the railroad!
I'm still killing two birds with one stone in this pic from Ponce Inlet. The dune walkway with its railing and fenced off areas leads to a beautiful beach scene worthy of Earth Day! It is rare to see this stretch of beach so uninhabited this time of year. The terrible winds that were blowing that day were the reason hardly anyone but me was there! It looks tranquil enough, but THIS time, I wore earrings with latch backs so they wouldn't blow off! :-) The prettiest days always seem to be windy around here, and this one was no exception.

Thanks to my brother Bob for the introduction and funding, we have had 11 trips to the Gambia and 1 to Zambia. We have thousands of beautiful images worthy of showing and even more treasured memories to keep. We are booked again at the end of February and will be counting the days down.

U.S. Route 66 Museum, Clinton, Oklahoma
U.S. Route 66 was one of the original highways in the United States, officially established in 1926. It formed a critical element in population shifts westward during the 20th Century, especially during the Dust Bowl of the 1930s. The road originally ran from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona before ending in Santa Monica, California, a total of 2,448 miles (3,940 km).
The Route 66 highway sign has become highly iconic for the era, America's love affair with the automobile, and travel in general. John Steinbeck first coined the phrase "The Mother Road" for the route in his famous novel "The Grapes of Wrath" (1939), where the highway symbolizes escape, loss and hope.
As shown in the Disney/Pixar movie franchise "Cars" however, the Interstate Highway System gradually replaced Route 66 as a major artery for the country and many once-prosperous towns fell into decline.
Nostalgia and economic motivations have since driven these communities to re-establish portions of the road as a National Scenic Byway by the name "Historic Route 66", with a number of museums dedicated to preserving this part of American history.
Here in Clinton, Oklahoma this small but worthy museum carries on that effort. It's designed to look like a 1950s drive-in restaurant and showcases a classic cherry-red 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback in the front lobby.

It's amazing how it all unfolds
When you have done lots of inner work
My #blahblahscape is full of my inner feelings and thoughts
And, yes - I have shared with you
Many of these thoughts comes from observing others around me and from my own mess
I know I am not alone on this journey
Some of you are there too
And maybe, just maybe it can help one of you to read my journey
We need to tidy up our lives
When you are having bad feelings like jealousy, envy, guilt, hate and all what arouses imbalance within you - you must know that there is something you must deal with
It will then eventually go away, diminish, being lightened up, being put back to the place or person where it originally belonged
Because it is probably not yours to keep
Isn't that quite a thought
It is not yours to keep
We use time, We misuse time, We delay, We postpone, We are human beings
As easy as that
And as difficult as that
I love lighthouses
They are there for guidance and help on your way
I have my own lighthouse, it's there for support and love
It contains love from special loved ones, but the most important is the love I have for myself
Giving me a safe shelter when I have needed it
Comfort and rest
You can have it all
"Just" need to open up for it
It all comes down to being able to love yourself
Feeling worthy of love
Your own love to yourself
Respecting yourself
We all are from Love, of course we all are worthy love, breathe that in so you can rest in that, you too
