Beautiful foggy morgning at river "Ruhr" near Menden (Sauerland)

We woke up at 4am to photograph Bow Lake and after that decided to take the 3 hour drive to Jasper and over to Malinge Lake and Spirit Island. This was a must see for me and was well worth the precious $$ to get there and for the boat ride. Enjoy!! VLOG below..

I woke up this morning alone again after a wonderful couple of days with my daughters Rebecca and Jennifer. We had brilliant time together, it's so great to have company again, it was well worth cleaning the house for my first visitors in nearly eighteen months !!!!!! Woke up this morning is by Alabama 3

There are so many beautiful places on this world every day, it is priceless to get to some of them occasionally. But you must go for it, it's not gonna find you. This morning was freezing, but I woke up early and went about 10km outside of my house to get this picture. Same principle seems to work for any other endeavour. Strange, I'm saying that and for the most time not doing it. Lazynesssss...

I woke up this morning...

and I saw this :D

The Wake Robins in a Spring rain. Happy Friday!!

We woke to a very foggy morning, and naturally the first place I thought of going was the cemetery.... that's probably normal, right?

I also had just picked up a new lens for vacations and I wanted to give it a test drive. Although you can't judge sharpness in the fog, the more mundane test shots came out very well, indeed.

Woke up and thankful for my stove that warms our living room. Warmed up to 6*. Shoveled for Maggie and now we’re cozy on the couch under a blanket. Schools closed again for third day. Accidents everywhere. Best to stay home and watch Netflix.

Woke up this morning to a big green marker stain on my white couch...sigh~

Woke up with a frog in my throat this morning.

This juvenile Little Blue Heron (still in white phase) caught this Pig Frog, but no matter which way he turned it just couldn't quite get it down. He eventually gave up.

Skittles woke up really early today while the morning was still foggy. She was determined to find the BIGgest pumpkin in the patch before everyone else.

On one of my last days in Manitoba, I woke up to this beautiful, frosty morning.

I wrote a blog post about my December 2019 trip to Manitoba and North Dakota, if you're interested in reading about where this image was made.

Woke up with the feeling of being watched. 😂

I woke up this morning to a beautiful blanket of snow covering the tree branches in our yard. I got out my camera and took some images of Christmas lanterns we hung in one of our trees.

Getting out in the snow with a camera is a great, uplifting way to start the new year.

I hope that everyone has a very happy and healthy New Year!

We were passing Woking heading for Southampton when 33030 was captured heading an engineers train comprising a crane, match wagons, van and coach. Delivered new as D6548 from BRCW on 1st April 1961 it passed into the hands of EWS at Privatisation moving with two other classmates to Scotland for trip workings within the Aberdeen area.

33116 passes Potbridge on 16/Aug/1988 with the Redbridge to Woking engineers.

Woke up early to see the sunrise. Found this egret on a dead snag. Was able to move around and frame the sun with the egret.

Woke up to a record 14" of snow this morning. It was a wet and heavy snow and no fun to shovel. They were telling people to stay home unless you had 4 wheel drive and don't drive at all outside the city limits. A lot of cars in the ditches around here. Good day to stay home and cyber shop!!

I woke up yesterday to a soft orange glow... when I peeked out the window I was amazed to find this incredible light emanating from my back yard. The photo does not capture its full beauty. Enhancing the scene is the light snowfall from the day before, that highlights the limbs and branches of the many oaks and pines in our neighborhood. I was very grateful to wake up to such a beautiful sight.

Three frames, focus-stacked. After the snow its the big freeze as the snow that was melting yesterday froze as the day got colder and we woke up to a lovely display of icicles by the front door.

The photo is taken in the garden room

It has been -6 degrees at night for the last few nights
