215 was initially at Metrobus' Croydon depot until ousted when route 130 was lost to Abellio in August 2017. It was then transferred to see out its day at MB until withdrawn on 17th March 2018 when routes 181 and 284 were taken over by Stagecoach Selkent. Ensign Bus then acquired 215 and in November 2018 it was sent to MC Tractors of Ely, Cambridgeshire for scrap.
Just last weekend Abellio took over on route 130 from Go-Ahead Metrobus where the elderly Darts 210-216 & 219 plied their trade. Only three have survived working into this week (214, 215 & 219) with 215 being transferred from C to MB. Here we find 215 SN03 WMK on he R9 in Avalon Road, Ramsden just as the sun put its hat on. 215 SN03 WMK along with LDP 192 SN51 UAE are the only two Darts over 10m remaining in service with Go-Ahead Metrobus at their Orpington depot. 215 was transferred to Orpington when ousted from duties at Croydon (Beddington) in late August after route 130 was lost to Abellio. I believe this one replaced LDP 205 after its withdrawal in July, and most days she is out on the 181 as seen here in Bromley Road, Downham. She is probably safe until mid-March next year when the 181 is lost to Stagecoach Selkent. Friday 3rd November 2017. DSCN43671.
