According to the old says the Orchird Island Canoe building technique involved no modern tools or equipment. The canoe itself would never drowned and move forward with less friction. All these ancient survivial wisdom were handled hundreds years ago from outsider without any written scripts.

An elephants oval eye is one of the most beautiful of the animal kingdom. long lashes, sincere intelligence and a wealth of wisdom. Like if you agree... :-)
Couldn't resist going back to this old tree. The water level is constantly changing in the lakes around here so opportunities come and go with the weather. I haven't caught the light just right yet. One of my favorite images from my trip last month to the swamps in Texas. These cypress trees have been around for a long time and have seen a lot.
It was not only in Nazareth that the “today” of the Gospel was not accepted. Later also, in the course of the church’s history, it has again and again been denied or rendered toothless. The reason was the same as in Nazareth: apparently it goes against the human grain for God to become concrete in our lives. Then people’s desires and favorite notions are in danger, and so are their ideas about time. It can’t be today, because that would mean that our lives have to change today already. Therefore God’s salvation is better delayed into the future. There it can lie, hygienically and snugly packed, at rest, inconsequential.

our backyard maple is wise: new leaves are red, not green, so not to be burned by the sun; as they gain mass and strength, they morph into their green color. i’m fascinated by these early leaves. a single leaf seems to hold lifetimes of wisdom within itself.

An adult Northern Flatid Planthopper (Flatormenis proxima) and a nymph face each other, separated by a bramble thorn. Planthopper lifespans are quite short, so the age difference between these two is probably only a matter of days or weeks.
I am in such a terrible mood this afternoon. My daughter has been so clingy lately. She has been enjoying her ballet lessons for the last couple of weeks but today she absolutely refused to let me go and wouldn't join her class. I am beside myself. To calm myself down, I took this photo but I'm not really happy with it. Or maybe I'm not happy with the way I handled things today.
