Barbed wire

There's probably razor wire over freeways in other places than Southern California, but I had never noticed it before. Presumably it's to prevent vandalism, such as graffiti on the signs. Too bad we have to do such things. Taken during a traffic jam -- I wasn't going very fast. There was a spot or two on the windshield. This is a freeway -- limited access, and no stop lights -- but not part of the US Interstate highway system.

Based on drawings of natural form I created the wire structures and turned them into wearable art.

Feeling a bit jaded today and just didn't know what to take and then I noticed by my computer the coloured wires from the broken PSU I took out of my mothers computer.

I did replace the PSU in her computer with a working one, I would never hear the last of it if she didn't get her daily fill of filthy jokes via e-mail from her friends.

Made a wire dispenser to handle my small spools of wire. Used recycled wood from a curbside bookshelf and dowels from a piece of discarded furniture, the screws are new drywall screws.

I've spent the weekend over at Echuca and been camping about 10 minutes out of town along the Murray (again). This section of the Murray is a little different to what I experienced in South Australia. But it still packs a beautiful punch.

Using silverplated wire for my ever first wire-work finish necklace. Handrolled clay beads and small glass-beads.
