Happy Fence Friday!!
HFF!
I didn't go in. I was just trying to find the place. I'm going to take my meetup group on a wine tour on Saturday and this is one of the places I'm going to take the group. It's a new winery but my boss says the wines are pretty good. Here's a little info:
Founded in 1983, Wimberley Valley Winery has a proud history of producing fine wines in central Texas with a focus on quality and a wide selection to suit all palates.
One of the things that the Finger Lakes region in New York State is known for is their wines. I guess the climate and the soil there are very good to grow grapes. So it makes total sense that on the shores of Lake Seneca, there are more than 75 wineries. Now, I have visited a winery to do a tour and afterwards a wine tasting in Napa Valley, another location here in US well known for its wines, but the wineries in Finger Lakes were somehow more "picturesque". Most of them are located on the hills around the lake and during summer you get to taste the local wines while enjoying magnificent views of the lake, usually sitting outside on a patio. Even if the wine is not that good (the wines were excellent, I'm just saying), at least you can take wonderful pictures and just relax with the lake's peaceful water easing your mind.

Taken a couple of years ago, a shot of a winery in the Adelaide Hills.
As many of you have probably seen in the news over Christmas, we've been having devastating bushfires in New South Wales and here in South Australia.
A third of the vineyards across the Adelaide Hills have been completely destroyed by the fires in just one day. These wineries will struggle to stay in business as it will be 3-5 years before they can be fully productive again.
Captured while visting the Crushed Cellars Winery in Pursellville VA -. and the wine was excellent as well.
Fence(d) Friday
Stu had a gig at the Winery, so I wandered off, as usual, and took a zillion photos of the area. It's gorgeous up there! I think the Robin sitting on the fence post would agree with me!
this was the scene outside Angel's Gate Winery, near Jordan Ontario...

A winery that produces over 50 varieties of wines. Lunch and dinner offering pizzas and paninis, along with salads, cheese plates and more. They are also a place where customers can make their own batch (28-30 bottles) of wine from the selection of our juices and add a custom label for a special event, gift, or keepsake

At We’re Here! the theme of the day is Horseback Trail Riding. Now, I’ve been really busy at work lately and do not have time to slip out of the office hunting for people on horseback. But, I remembered this winery not too far from our company headquarters in the Napa Valley, and was able to swing by there while driving from one office to the other. No trail, and no rider, but the group rules do say, “Scenery is fine as long as there is horses/horse in it.” So, there you go.
Join We’re Here! for daily inspiration on making the unexpected appear in your photostream.
