This shot was exposed for the light outside, with a fill flash being used to light the seat, and a polariser removing most reflections from the window.

Designed by Francis Spear and dedicated in 1929, this window in the parish church of St Mary the Virgin, Eccles, Lancashire was donated by the sons of Dr William Worrell Mayo, in memory of their father. Dr Mayo was baptised in Eccles in 1819 but emigrated to the USA in 1845 and died in Rochester, Minnesota in 1911. His two sons also became surgeons and the three men worked together in St Mary's Hospital in Rochester when it was opened by the Sisters of St Francis in 1889.
In 1909 the father and his two sons set up the world's first integrated group practice, which is now the world renowned Mayo Clinic, with a staff of almost two thousand. The emblems in the window were specifically chosen to illustrate Dr Mayo's interests and achievements.

For some reason that I can't explain it does not rain anymore in Holland, a bad situation for any decent wicked Reflectah, but instead of panicking, or walking around with a big water-tank on my back, to spritz the corners of Sin City with to create some puddles for myself, I re-focused my eyes and lens on the manymany windows we have in Amsterdam. I think it's safe to say that there's a reasonable amount of wickedness found in these pictures, puddles or not, and I hope you like them enough to overcome the fact that the rain has gone...oh, wait, I'm the only one who likes rain and actually misses it, lol :D
