I annoyed the woman seated beside me yesterday on the flight from Orlando to Atlanta. I kept fidgeting with my luggage, removing my camera again and again, because the cloudscapes out the window kept getting more and more beautiful.
"Do you do this professionally?" she asked.
"No. It's just a hobby."
"Do you just take pictures of... clouds?" she asked.
If I did a lot of air travel that had me flying through clearing storms at sunset, I'd probably see if I could make a living out of it getting window seats and shooting clouds. Exclusively clouds.
This is a possible window design for the third floor of the LEGO Store modular building. The original design just had the barrier however as I was walking past a building a few days ago I discovered that I could use a hanging plant pot on the barrier. Using the jumper plates for the window made this have a sense of realism and depth.
This is Window Falls in Hanging Rock State Park, Stokes County, NC. I couldn't decide which I liked better, black/white or color, so I posted both. Hope everyone has a great week!

I like the way sunlight reflected by windows across the street highlights several windows on the West face of the Hotel Vancouver. The image is a little soft because it was shot through a double glazed window at an angle.

Peeking through the windows of an abandoned house is like stealing a glimpse into a life once lived.
I was really hoping to capture more detail of some old photographs that were curling and fading on top of a bookshelf just inside the windowpane. Unfortunately, using a medium format camera is a challenge when the subject is elevated, as you have to get up even higher to be able to look down through the viewfinder. I did actually climb up on the outside air conditioner unit, but you can see from the images below that this still wasn't quite enough height. Good fun though.
I love the old fashioned pub interiors in central London. The frosted windows alone are a subject worth photographing
My first attempt at a window card....It was fun!! I tried to keep the design simple, but the funny thing is that I used more stamps sets then ever before :)) TFL

February Challenge Day 2: View from my window.
Oh how I suffer for my photography. I had to use a 30 second timer dash to get this. The major bummer was that our driveway is covered in bird poop. Damn Birds.
A painted window in the village of Zalipie, Poland. In Zalipie, houses are adorned with floral paintings in the style of a famous ceramics artist, Felicja Curylowa, who lived in the village. Today, local women are taught how to paint in her style and anything that can be painted - is painted. As well as the 20 or so decorated houses the fire station, church, a farm, bridge, dog kennel and rabbit hutch were also seen with floral decorations. June 2011
These recent images Rural Decay in Nova Scotia have got me delving into the archives revisiting some past excursions and some shots that have never seen the light of day. This window shot being one of them taken in December 2010. I had so much difficulty with this image largely due to the wonky window and boards, there was a ledge just above the window which I cropped as it made the image too top heavy, hence the window is now too near to the top for my liking really.

It is such a lovely view when the chestnuts in the park are in bloom. You don't fee like living in smalltown downtown
