This is a typical winded tree. They have them all over Rockport Texas which gives it a nice distinctive look with so many of them. It was really hard finding one by itself though that didn't have a ton of other stuff around it for a good shot. I've always like the location of this particular tree. There are so many bigger ones that are even crazier looking as well, but they're right next to large objects. It's funny how trees can be temporary homes for so many birds and insects of every kind in nature.
The wind blew across the still canal water and made these patterns with small waves. I noticed them as I sat still for a few minutes.
Sometimes you have to be still to notice the subtle beauty in the scenes around us.

in the northern black forest. Most people don´like the ideas of having these Giants standing on every high spot here (but I think they also don´t like the idea of lightening their homes with candles.

Wind farm in Minco, Oklahoma. I found out after the fact that Google purchased all of the energy from this particular wind farm to offset the energy requirements of a new data center.
We buried our granny today at a cemetery in Weatherford. I found it interesting that this was on the property. You don't see these around so much these days and after living in W,ford for so long I never noticed it until today.

I was in Walla Walla, Washington this weekend on Saturday just one day after this horrendous storm that swept through. Some of the damage and destruction is awful but the town began cleanup immediately after the storm left. Many were without power but was mostly restored by the following Monday.
Altamont Pass Wind Farm is located in the Altamont Pass of the Diablo Range in Central California. It is one of the earliest wind farms in the United States. Considered largely obsolete, these numerous small turbines are being gradually replaced with much larger and more cost-effective units. The larger units turn more slowly and, being elevated higher, are claimed to be less hazardous to the local wildlife. This claim is supported by a report done for the Bonneville Power Administration
I don't always like wind. In fact, sometimes wind makes me excessively cranky. It all depends on what the air is like that's blowing me around. This windy spot was overlooking the ocean and was part of the castle grounds at Culzean Castle. On this day the breeze felt good and refreshing.
Voices come from down the hall
In my room all painted white
I have my bat and rubber ball
I like to sleep with them at night
But now I'm all smiles
the good little shots must be winning
Yes, they crank my dial
My motor is stalled but my wheels are still spinning
Daddy won't discuss me
What a state I must be
Mommy couldn't stand living with a wind-up toy...
